Kwara TV awards Abdulmajeed best performing GMD for 2022

Kwara State Television Authority (KWTV) has on Wednesday awarded Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Harmony Holdings Limited, Mallam Abdullahi Abdulmajeed, as the Best Performing GMD of the Year 2022.
The presentation took place at a ceremony to mark the Christmas Carol and Award Night 2022 of the state-owned broadcast station.
Tagged Award of Excellence, it was in recognition of Abdulmajeed’s tireless efforts in turning around the fortunes of the investment management company of the Kwara State Government which had suffered maladministration of the past.
Recall that Abdulmajeed was similarly named one of the 30 most impactful CEOs in Nigeria by The Guardian Newspaper December 2021.

The Christmas Carol and Awards Night, according to the General Manager of KWTV, Mr Michaels Olatunde Oyeyiola, is a new initiative to further add quality and colour to the media organisation which has witnessed huge transformation under the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The event was attended by Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, who was conferred with the Most Friendly State Party Chairman Award.
Top government officials at the colourful event include: Commissioner of Finance, Mrs Oyeyemi Olasumbo Florence; Commissioner of Communications, Mr Sadiq Buhari; Commissioner of Youth Development, Mr Olabode Towoju; Kwara TV Board Chairman, Alhaji Hameed Adio; Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye (who presented the award to the GMD/CEO).

Others in attendance are: General Manager, Kwara State Social Investment Programmes (KWASSIP), Mallam Abdulquawiy Olododo (awarded Best Performing GM); Special Adviser Strategy, Alhaji Saadu Salau (awarded Most Accessible Government Official); Special Adviser Political Communications, Alhaji Bashir Adigun (awarded Most Friendly Government Official); Senior Special Assistant Media and Publicity, Mr Jerry Kolo; Special Assistant Islamic Religion, Alhaji Ibrahim Danmeigoro; Special Assistant Creative Industries, Mr Abdulgafar Abiola; Special Assistant Communication, Mr Ibraheem Abdullateef, among others.

The GMD/CEO was accompanied to receive the award by management staff of Harmony Holdings Limited and heads of subsidiaries.
Meanwhile, outstanding staff of Kwara TV who distinguished themselves in various areas were also awarded at the event which featured entertainment and comic relief.
